1- Information we hold
- Corporate information: Information submitted by you as part of expression of your interest in our services, during the client onboarding process, or at any time thereafter, such as: registered office address, company type, company status, nature of business, ownership structure, company registration number, transaction history, interactions with TAG or financial information.
- Personal information: Information relating to your directors and officers, direct and indirect beneficial owners, and authorised persons, such as: identification details (e.g. passport number, driving license, date of birth), contact details (office address, email, mobile number, landline number) and signature specimens.
- Cookie information: Please refer to Section 8 below for more details.
- Any other information you give us permission to access.
2- How we collect your information
We use different methods to collect data from and about you, including:
- Direct interactions: This includes personal data you provide when you become a client, request the provision of any of our services, give us feedback or contact us.
- Automated technologies or interactions: As you interact with our website, we will automatically collect technical data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies and other similar technologies. Please see Section 8 for further details.
- Third parties or publicly available sources: We will receive personal data about you from various third parties, including: (a) analytics providers; (b) advertising networks; (c) search information providers; and (d) public records.
Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of our engagement with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to provide our services.

- Where we need to perform the engagement we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.

- To ensure we are providing our services in the most appropriate and effective way.
- Providing our consultancy or advisory services, including: opportunity identification and landscape evaluation, deal origination and negotiation, investment and business strategy advice, capital and portfolio diversification, partnership, business matchmaking and venture formation and bespoke engagements.
- To fulfil our annual membership offering (which includes in-person events such as our strategic summits, conferences, cultural activations, private dinners and a TAG annual members summit).
- Improving your client experience with TAG.
- Onboarding you as a client.
- Marketing purposes.
- Pursuing our legitimate interests.
- To comply with any requirements of law, regulation or a professional body of which we are a member.
- To seek professional advice, including in connection with any legal proceeding (which may or may not have taken place), or for establishing, exercising or defending our rights.
4- To whom we may disclose personal data
We, including our employees, agents, advisors and directors, may disclose personal information to any of the following parties for the purposes specified above:
- Any of TAG’s affiliates and their officers, employees, agents, advisors or directors.
- Our strategic partners, including founders, investors, corporations, decision makers, and industry pioneers.
- Our professional advisors (including auditors and consultants), marketing agencies, third party service providers, agents or outsourced service providers.
- Our knowledge partners, including management consultancy firms, think tanks or research institutes, law firms and subject matter experts.
- Our media and communications partners, including media group, PR and communications consultancy and digital amplification platforms.
- Any person to whom disclosure is allowed or required by law.
- Any court, tribunal, regulator, enforcement agency, exchange authority, tax authority or any other investigating authority or their agents.
- Any financial institution to conduct credit checks, anti-money laundering checks, for fraud prevention and detection of crimes.
- Anyone TAG considers necessary to facilitate requests for services or applications for TAG’s products.
- Any actual or potential assignee of all or part of our business.
- Any others, as may be required, to fulfill or contractual obligations.
5- Data retention
As required by Abu Dhabi Global Market’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority, we retain your data for a minimum of currently 6 years after the termination of the client relationship. However, in some circumstances, such as cases of money laundering or fraud, we may retain your data for a longer period if we need and/or if required by law.
6- Marketing
We may use your business data:
- To conduct market research and surveys with the aim of improving our services.
- To market our services to our clients and for promotional events.
We will not send you marketing material if we have been specifically asked not to do so. Each client representative has the right to opt out if receiving marketing material on behalf of the client by writing to us at our email address as stipulated on our website.
7- Monitoring
To the extent permitted by law, we may record and monitor your electronic communication with us to ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, and legal and regulatory obligations.
8- Cookie information
Like most websites and applications, we use cookies. You can turn cookies off, if you prefer, by visiting your browser/phone settings to disable/delete our cookies. By using the TAG’s website you agree to our use of cookies.
- Why do we use cookies?
You can think of cookies like your online footmark. When you visit our website, we install a cookie on your device that helps us keep a track of your online activity such as number of visits to a page, time spent on a page etc. This helps us personalize your experience with TAG.
2. What are the different kinds of cookies that we may use?

9- Data Transfer
As part of providing our services, we might transfer and store your data outside of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (“ADGM“). Our employees or our vendors based outside ADGM might also process your data. We may also share your data with any of our affiliates.
Any data transfer and processing in a jurisdiction outside ADGM will be subject to ADGM’s data protection requirements, meaning that a similar degree of protection is afforded to your personal data by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:
- We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed by the ADGM to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data.
- Where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the ADGM which give personal data the same protection it has in the ADGM.
As required, we will obtain ADGM’s Data Protection Office’s approval before any data transfer to a jurisdiction which is not considered to have adequate level of protection.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, or to get a copy of it
- Request that we correct your personal information
- Instruct us, subject to regulatory requirements, to delete your data

- Request the restriction of processing your personal data
- Request the transfer of your personal data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we are relying on consent to process your personal data.
Please note that the withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

Please note that although we take your rights seriously, there may be some circumstances where we cannot comply with your request. Subject to ADGM’s rules and regulation, we may charge you a fee to exercise any of your abovementioned rights.
